The culture and customs of a country and the rice wine that the people enjoyed throughout the years carry on to the present. The characteristics of such alcoholic beverages are reflected in that country's literature. In this program, viewers will learn how modern and contemporary Korean literature reflected the society in those times and how drinking was a part of it. 한 나라의 문화적 습속과 그들이 즐기는 술은 역사를 거듭하면 닮아 간다. 또, 그 술의 속성이 그들의 문학에 반영된다. 한국 근？현대 문학 속에 드러난 술과 그 술에 반영된 사회상을 들여다본다. 일제 강점기에 출간된 현진건의 [술 권하는 사회]부터 김승옥의 [서울, 1964년 겨울], 2000년대 권여선의 [안녕 주정뱅이] 은희경의 [중국식룰렛]등을 다룬다.
