2018 평창동계올림픽 개막 D-100일을 기념하고 성공적인 올림픽 개최를 염원하기 위한 <평창의 꿈> 특별공연이 11월 1일 윌셔 이벨극장에서 개최되었습니다.

On November 1, 2017, The Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles and National Gugak Center proudly presented "Dream of PyeongChang", a special concert at Wilshire Ebell Theatre to celebrate the 100-day countdown of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics and to wish for a successful opening of the Olympics.

저희들은 특히 이번에 내년 평창동계올림픽/패럴림픽을 기념하고 성원하면서 성화봉송 주제가부터 해서 저희 국악기로 연주하는 관현악을 들려드릴 예정이고,
This is a special concert to celebrate the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics and Paralympics, and the orchestra will play with Korean traditional instruments.

특별히 로스엔젤레스 관객 여러분들을 위해서 쉽고 재미있게 들을 수 있는 연주곡들로 준비했습니다.
We’ve prepared an array of songs that will be especially delightful to the ears of our audience in Los Angeles.

저희가 아주 신나고 다양한 프로그램을 준비했는대요 .
We will play various songs at today’s special concert.

우선 평창올림픽의 성화봉송 음악인 ‘Let everyone shine’ 이라는 곡을 국악 관현악으로 편곡해서 어린이 합창단과 함께 부르는 음악입니다.
First, we will start with the Olympic torch relay theme song ‘Let Everyone Shine’ joined by the Children’s Choir, Los Angeles Young Players.

그리고 신명나게 즐길 수 있는 수궁가 판소리를 감상하실 수 있구요 , 그리고 온 세계인들이 함께 즐길 수 있도록 전 세계의 유명한 민요들을 국악관현악으로 편곡하고 함께 즐길 수 있느 프로그램 이외에도 많은 다양한 프로그램을 준비하였습니다 .
You will be able to enjoy the traditional Korean singing style Su-goong-ga pansori (the sea palace song), world folk songs arranged by the National Gugak Center and many more.

함께 평창올림픽의 화합하는 마음을 같이 나누면서 즐길 수 있는 공연이 되었스면 좋겟습니다 .
I hope this concert will serve as an opportunity for everyone to feel the harmonious energy of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

평소에도 한국 전통 음악을 자주 들어서 즐거웠고 정말 멋진 무대였어요.
한국 음악은 K-pop만 들어서 전혀 다른 느낌의 음악이였지만 좋았어요.
전혀 다른 문화권에서 온 저에게 정말 흥미로운 무대였어요. 웅장하면서도 아름다운 음악들이였어요.
