[주LA한국문화원] 남가주사진가협회전시 "Riches of the Land;Serenity"

LA한국문화원과 남가주사진가협회는 12월 9일 금요일 문화원 2층 아트 갤러리에서 제 11회 남가주사진가협회전 의 개막식을 개최했습니다.

The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles(KCCLA) (Director Nakjung Kim) & Photographers Society of Souther California (President Alex Kim) proudly co-present a special exhibition, “Riches of the Land; Serenity”.

이 전시회는 저희가 한국문화원에 11번째로 전시가 열렸구요,

오늘 출품된 작품은 36점으로 18분의 작품이 출품되었습니다.

이번 작품은 우리가 칼라의 홍수 속에서 살고 있으면서

칼라를 좀 내려놔보자. 내려놔보고 사물들이나 그 풍경이 갖고 있는 내면을

들여다보자라는 취지에서 reduced된 칼라, 톤다운된 칼라를 중점으로

이번 전시를 하게 되었습니다.

This is the 11th exhibition we held at the Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles.

Today, we present 36 photography pieces by 18 photographers.

For this exhibition, we wanted to stray from the flood of colors that surrounds us every day to focus more on the depth of the objects and landscapes by choosing photographs with toned down colors and black and white film.

한국사진가와 그들의 전시에 대해 항상 자부심을 느껴요. 그리고 그 일원으로 함께 전시를 하고 LAPD를 대표할 수 있다는 것이 영광스럽습니다.

사진이 아름다울 뿐만 아니라 협회는 한인사회에 일어나는 행사를 찍고 노인, 어린아이들을 위해 사진을 찍는 봉사를 하고 있기 때문이에요.

소더비 큐레이터?

I like this exbition is inspiring because so many of us so busy with our lives what we do, and clearly everyone who has participated in this exhibition spent many many hours in photography.

And technically very advanced and I think that conceptionally some of the photographs are very complicated. So I'm very impressed.

이번 전시회는 일상이 바쁜 많은 사람들에게 좋은 영감을 줄 수 있는 기회인 것 같아요. 이 전시회에 참여한 모든 사진작가분들이 얼마나 많은 시간과 노력을 쏟았는지 보여요. 사진들이 기술적으로 고급스럽고, 컨셉이 단순하지 않아서 정말 인상적이었어요.

전시는 12월 23일 금요일까지 LA문화원 2층 아트 갤러리에서 만날 수 있습니다.

This exhibition will be held from Friday, December 9th to 23rd at the KCCLA Art gallery.
