내레이션. 지난 7월 6일부터 7월 21일까지 약 2주간, LA한국문화원은 2018 K-POP 아카데미를 개최하였습니다.　
자막. The Korean Cultural Center of Los Angeles had presented the ‘2018 K-POP Academy’ which ran for about 2 weeks from July 7th to July 21st, 2018.　
　
내레이션. 올해로 3회째를 맞이하는 K-POP 아카데미는 전 세계 25개 문화원에 국내 최고 수준의 강사진을 파견하여 전문화된 K-POP 실무 교육을 진행하는 프로그램입니다.　
자막. Marking the 3rd year as of 2018, the K-POP Academy has been running in 25 Korean Cultural Centers around the world with top quality instructors from Korea to provide specialized K-POP hands-on training.　
　
내레이션. 오늘은 본격적인 수업을 시작하기에 앞서 오리엔테이션을 가졌는데요, 강사진 소개와 함께 K-Beauty 특별 강좌가 진행되었습니다. 자신이 좋아하는 K-POP 스타들의 메이크업을 직접 받기도 하고 배울 수 있는 시간이어서 그런지 더욱, 즐거워하는 참가자들의 모습을 확인할 수 있었습니다.　
자막. Prior to the beginning of regular classes, the participants went through an orientation to meet with their instructors, and they were also offered a special K-beauty demonstration where they had a chance to learn about the current beauty trend of K-Pop stars. Some of the audience have had free make-up trials, enjoying themselves with the program.

질문. K-POP 스타들이 받는 메이크업을 직접 받아보니 어떠세요?

Well, I did this last year. I did the vocal and dance academy last year and it was a lot of fun. Yeah, I haven’t looked at myself in the mirror yet. I need to go look at it. But, It feels good.　
자막. 작년에도 K-POP 아카데미에 참여했었어요. 굉장히 재미있었죠. 아직 거울로 제 얼굴을 보진 못했어요, 보러 가야 하긴 하지만 괜찮을 것 느낌이 들어요.

질문. K-POP 스타들이 받는 메이크업을 직접 받아보니 어떠세요?

Oh yeah, when I went to restroom, I saw my face. I was really shocked, cause I put on make up before for performances, but it never looked like this. I like it though.　
자막. 네, 화장실에 가서 얼굴을 봤어요. 조금 많이 놀랐어요. 전에도 몇 번 공연 때문에 메이크업을 받아본 적은 있지만 이런 식의 메이크업은 처음이거든요. 그래도 마음에 들어요.　
　
　
내레이션. 수업은 할리우드 중심에 위치한 전문 음악학교인 MI 캠퍼스에서 이루어졌습니다. 이번 강좌는 댄스와 보컬 각각 초급반과 중급반 2개의 과정으로 진행되었기 때문에, 수업을 진행하기 앞서 참가자들의 기량을 알아보는 시간을 가졌습니다. 초반에는 모두들 긴장한 모습이었지만 서로를 격려하면서 현장 분위기는 점점 뜨거워져 갔습니다.　
자막. The classes were held at the MI campus in central Hollywood, and they were divided into two levels for both vocal and dance categories to enhance the efficiency. During the diving process, all the participants did their best to show their range. Some of them appeared nervous initially, but soon they all got excited as they encouraged each other.

내레이션. 2주간의 수업이 마무리되고 드디어 쇼케이스 날이 되었습니다.　
자막. Two weeks of classes ended and it was finally the day for showcase.　
　
내레이션. 무대에 오르기 전까지 쉬지 않고 연습을 하는 참가자들의 열정이 정말 멋졌는데요, 의상부터 메이크업까지 오늘만큼은 K-POP 스타가 부럽지 않은 모습입니다.　
자막. I was so impressed about their passion. They didn’t even care to take breaks and really committed to practicing. The fashion, the make-up and the whole look really made them look like K-Pop stars, and for today, they truly are.

내레이션. 공연 한 시간 전인데도 불구하고 준비한 좌석이 부족할 만큼 많은 관객들로 공연장이 가득 채워졌습니다.

자막. The finale for the stage was the vocal participants singing UR of Taeyeon all together. Vocal instructors’ joining the stage deeply moved the audience.
