지난 10월 29일, 주시드니한국문화원은 ‘제 4회 한국 문화가 있는 날(Korean Culture Day)’을 맞이하여 ‘K-pop Sining Contest’를 개최했습니다.

Korean Cultural Centre Australia hosted the 'K-pop singing contest' as one of our monthly Korean Culture day programs on the 29th of Oct 2016.

온라인 예선에 지원한 52개 팀 중 12개팀이 본선 무대에 올랐고, 150여명의 관객들은 큰 박수와 환호로 참가자들을 격려했습니다.

12 finalists out of 52 online preliminary applicants performed on the day and over 150 audiences joined the night to support their friends and families and to enjoy the K-POP festivity.

축하공연으로 펼쳐진 국악인 신형식씨의 장구연주와 판소리공연 역시 관객들의 큰 호응을 얻었습니다.

Hyung-sik SHIN, a Jang-gu drum player celebrated the occasion by performing the traditional percussion during the opening ceremony.

이날 우승의 영예는 Crush의 ‘소파’를 부른 브리아나 세일스베리(Brianna Sailsbury)와 멜리 멜레(Meli Mele)가 차지했습니다.

The winner's award of the night went to Brianna Sailsbury and Meli Mele who sang 'Sofa' by Crush.

많은 분들이 응원해주신 덕분에 즐거운 시간을 보냈어요.

이번 행사는 다국적-다문화 사람들이 K-pop으로 하나 되고, 한국의 전통 음악을 접할 수 있었던 뜻 깊은 시간이었습니다.

The KCC's singing contest aimed to unite all K-culture lovers from different cultural backgrounds through K-POP, and it was also all the more meaningful as people could experience what the Korean traditional music was like.
