Peugh, who has captured various cultural phenomena, and proven the potential and experimental nature of American contemporary dance with his unique, witty interpretation 각자의 개성으로 국제 무대를 사로잡은 안무가, 박순화 조슈아 퓨가 선보이는 2인 2색의 신작 무대 Two new pieces by Soonho Parrk and Joshua L. Peugh, who has fascinated international stages each with his own individuality 국립현대무용단은 국내외 안무가를 초청. 향후 무용단의 우수 레퍼토리로 개발하는 픽업 스테이지 프로그램을 선보이고 있다. 픽업 스테이지를 통해 선보이는 초청 안무가들은 국가, 장르, 스타일을 넘나들며 각기 다른 색깔과 독창서응로 국립현대무용단의 창작 작품에 다양성을 더하고 있다. 오는 10월에는, 국내외 현대무용계에서 잘 알려진 박순호와 한국과 연이 깊은 미국의 무용가 조슈아 퓨가 2017년 세 번째 픽업스테이지 맨 투맨의 막을 올린다. Korea National Contemporary Dance Company presents Pick-Up DanceStage program, which invites choreographers, and develops their works into the companys future outstanding repertoire. The guest choreographers of Pick-Up DanceSatge transcend nations, genres and styles. adding a diversity to KNCDs works with their different colors and uniqueness. In upcpming October, Soonho Park, a well-known choreographer in domestic and overseas contemporary dance scene, and American choreographer Joshua L. Peugh. who has a strong tie with Korea. raise the curtains of 2017s third Pick-Up DanceStage. Man To Man. 한국 현대무용계의 대표 안무가로 손꼽히는 박순호는 미국 제이콥스 필로우 페스티벌. 독일 탄츠메쎄와 같은 세계적인 축제에 진출한 바 있다. 그는 인人-조화와 불균형, 유도, 활 등 전작들을 통해 전통소재에 대한 치밀한 해석으로 보편적인 현대인으니 정서를 가만의 독창적인 결과물로 보여줬다. 신작 경인 京人은 현대인을 상징하는 서울 사람을 뜻하는데, 물질적 욕망과 정서적 결핍이라는 현대사회의 모순을 담는다. 그리고 이를 현대무용과 한국 북청지역의 사자 춤을 융합한 춤사위로 그려낸다. 박순호 특유의 집요함으로 고찰한 현대무용과 한국 전통춤의 융햡 역시 주목할 만한 관전 표인트다. Soonho Park is one of the leading choreographers in Korean contemporary dance scene, and has presented his works at international festivals such as Jacobs Pillow Festival in USA and Tanzmesse in Germany. He has shown the univerasl emotions of modern people with a meticulous onterpretation on traditional materials inhis unique results through previous works such as Balance and Imbalance. Judo and Bow-control. The title of his new work Gyeong-in 京人 means the people of Seoul, who sybolize modern people, and the piece deals with the paradox of modern society. which is materialistic desire and emotional deficiency. And he illustrates it with dance movements that combine contemporarv dance and Liom Dance of Bukcheong area in Korea. The fusion of contemporary dance and Korean traditional dance that is contemplated with his usual tenacity is another noteworthy point to watch. 미국인이지만 한국에서 먼저 무용단을 창단, 미국 본토에서 그 실력을 인정받아 댄스매거진과 뉴욕타임즈를 통해 주목받는 안무가 중 하나로 선정된 조슈아 퓨는 신작 빅 배드 울프를 선보인다. 다양한 사회 현상을 포착해 발레와 현대무용을 융해한 춤사위로 그려내는 그의 작품들은, 동시대적인 뉘앙스를 물씬 풍기며 젊은 관객의 호응을 이끌어내왔다. 빅 배드 울프는 전 세계의 부기맨 신화에서 영감을 받은 작품이다. 수 많은 부기맨 버전 중 가장 잘 알려진 빨간 모자 에 나오는 커다란 나쁜 늑대를 제목으로 삼았으며, 어린이의 선한 행동을 유도하기 위해 지역마다 존재하는 공포적 캐릭터를 흥미진진한 보드빌 Vaudville 형식으로 그려낼 예정이다. On the other hand. Joshua L. Peugh, an American choreographer who initially founded a dance company in Korea and then was acknowledgedin USA through Dance Magazine and The New York Times as one of the notable choreographers. presents his new work Big Bad Wolf. His works. which capture various social phenomena and illustrate them through dance movements fusing movements of ballet and continuously given off contemporary nuances and captivated young audiences. Big Bad Wolf is a work inspired by the boogeyman myths all around the world. Among the many versions of the boogeyman, the titles takes after the Big Bad Wolf From The Little Red Riding Hood.
