내레이션. 지난 4월 13일, LA한국문화원 3층 아리홀에서 2018 Ari Project의 세 번째 무대인 박나훈 무용단의 한국현대무용 공연이 개최되었습니다.

자막. The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles and Parknahoon Company had presented the 3 rd Ari Project series of this year at Ari Hall, titled, "Korean Contemporary Dance Performance" on April 13th, 2018.

내레이션. ' 설치미술과 춤의 결합' 이라는 주제를 담은 이번 공연은 한국의 전통 생활문화 소재인 소쿠리 설치미술과 화려한 독무가 엿보이는 “ 두 개의 문 ” 을 시작으로 , 관객이 직접 설치미술 제작에 참여한 공간에서 어울어지는 공연 “ 모르는 두사람 만지기 ”. 그리고 , 한국적 소재인 연꽃잎에서 착안한 설치미술 벌룬시리즈 “ 세 개의 공기 ” 등 세가지 작품을 선보였습니다 .

자막. The Parknahoon company’s performance coalesced installation art, dance, and participation of the audience together. The performance was inspired by Korean traditional lotus leaf and basket, which are two of many Korean cultural themes.

자막. Two Doors is a truthful story on the stage that defies a simple answer of "yes" or "no".

자막. Touching Unknown People is a dance performance that shows how to meet and communicate with strangers in a public space and defines what is real hugging and sharing the heart means to people.

자막. Three Airs portrays a combination of props art inspired by garlic, which expresses Koreanness, and dance. This performance can be defined as either an unrealistic story filled with air or a realistic story about an unexpected object and life.

안녕하세요. 박나훈 무용단에 박나훈 안무가입니다. LA에서 이렇게 저희 작품들을 선보일 수 있게 되어서 아주 기쁘고 행복하고. 한국적 현대무용이라는 게 다소 난해할 수도 있고 추상성을 근간으로 하는 장르다보니까 어려울 수 있지만, 무엇보다 한국적 현대무용이 가지고 있는 어떤 독특함, 오브제 혹은 한국적 정신이 담긴 현대무용을 선보이는 것은 감사한 일이라고 생각합니다.

자막 . Hi, I’m Park Na Hoon, a choreographer from Parknahoon company. I’m very glad that I can show our performance here in LA. Korean contemporary dance can appear somewhat abstruse since it’s a genre based upon abstraction. Nevertheless, I’m grateful to have given this opportunity to present a contemporary dance performance that carries Korean philosophy with Koreanesque particularity, uniqueness and objet.

I’m very pleased with the dance. It’s really well put together. Really creative, really unique. The dancers really know how to interact with the audience. I’m just really amazed, surprised, and grateful.
