주호주연방대한민국대사관과 주시드니한국문화원은 10월 25일부터 28일까지 수도 캔버라에서 ‘찾아가는 한국문화원(Ride The Korean Wave!)’ 행사를 진행하였습니다.

‘찾아가는 한국문화원’은 한국어를 배우는 학생들을 직접 방문하여 한국 문화 체험의 기회를 제공하는 행사로, 2013년부터 진행되고 있습니다.

이번 행사에는 캔버라에서 한국어를 채택한 3개 학교와 한국어 및 한국문화에 관심 있는 2개 학교 등 총 5개 학교에서 약 1,700여 명의 학생들이 참여했습니다.

우경하 대사는 10월 27일 투거라농 고등학교를 방문하여 참석 학생 400여명을 격려하고, 학생들 개개인이 한·호 관계의 가교역할을 하는 문화홍보 대사가 되어 줄 것을 당부하였였습니다.

오프닝에 펼쳐진 k-pop 커버댄스와 태권도 시범, 장구/판소리 공연은 학생들의 열렬한 환호를 받았습니다.

이후에는 학생들이 한국 문화를 직접 체험할 수 있는 다양한 강좌가 진행되었습니다.

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Korean Cultural Centre Australia co-hosted the 'Ride the Korean Wave' event in the capital city, Canberra, between October 25^th ? 28^th, 2016.

Since the first 'Ride the Korean Wave' in 2013, the Korean Cultural Centre visits different cities in Australia to offer cultural experiences to students who are learning Korean.

Around 1,700 students from 5 different schools, including schools that have Korean in their syllabus for second language as well as schools with interest in Korean language and culture, have gathered to enjoy the event.

Ambassador Kyoung-ha Woo attended the Opening Ceremony at Lake Tuggeranong College on 27 October 2016.

He also encouraged all 400 students to become cultural ambassadors, acting as facilitators to further enhance the Korea-Australia relations in the future.

The opening featured a contemporary K-POP dance performance, a martial arts Taekwondo performance, and a traditional Jang-gu/Pansori performance.

The response was overwhelming.

The cultural activities session facilitated a variety of classes that offered students to experience many aspects of Korean culture.

이 밖에도 많은 학생들이 점심시간과 휴식시간을 이용해 한복 입어보기, 전통놀이 등을 체험하였습니다.
