내레이션. 지난 6월 21일, LA한국문화원 3층 아리홀에서 2018 Ari Project의 일곱번째 무대로 지영희민속음악연구회USA의 ‘가야금과 시간’ 공연이 개최되었습니다.

자막. The Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles and Ji Yeong-Hee’s Folk Music Institute USA had presented the 7th Ari Project series of this year at Ari Hall, titled, ‘Gayageum & Time’ on June 21st, 2018.

질문. 공연에 대한 소개와 함께 소감을 말씀해주신다면

아리 프로젝트에서 무엇을 좀 보여드리고 싶었냐면, 현지인들한테도 우리 국악을 같이 공유하고 싶고 같이 놀고 싶고, 그래서 이런 기회가 많이 주어지면 교포자녀들 2, 3세 지나면 우리 문화 많이 모르잖아요. 이 아리프로젝트가 많은 사람들한테 공감이 돼주면 너무 좋을 것 같습니다.

자막. Through Ari Project, I wanted to share the entertaining aspects of Korean traditional music with the local audience. I wanted to show how Korean traditional music can be sheerly entertaining and playful. Projects like this could really help the 2nd and 3rd generation Korean-Americans to have better understanding upon their own culture, and It’d be great to see Ari Project continues to strike a chord with many more hearts.

This An Gi Ok Sanjo is the entire piece about 35 minutes. But we recreated it into different arrangement with more professional instruments and we would have dancers.

I really enjoyed the show. It’s a very important part of Korean culture. so I really appreciated it and I like to learn about Korean culture.

자막. 공연 즐겁게 잘 봤습니다. 국악은 한국문화의 정말 중요한 부분인 것 같아요. 감명깊게 보았고, 한국 문화에 대해 배우는 것이 좋습니다.

It was beautiful, I loved it. It was very elegant. And fast-paced and yet slow paced and everything in between it was really beautiful.
