내레이션. 지난 11월 2일, LA한국문화원은 2018 Ari Project의 열다섯번째 무대로 지윤자 가야금 해외무형문화전승회관을 선정하여 ‘노래와 가야금과 거문고의 만남’ 공연을 개최하였습니다.

자막. The Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles and Ji Yun Ja Gayageum Korean Traditional Intangible Cultural Center presented the 15th Ari Project series of this year in the Ari Hall, titled, ‘An Encounter of Korean Song, Gayageum and Geomungo’ on November 2nd, 2018.

오늘 공연은요, 저희가 가야금하고 거문고가 있는데, 가야금의 세미한 거 하고 거문고의 힘찬 소리가 같이 어우러지니까 정말 너무 좋은 것 같습니다. 그래서 오늘 그런 콘셉트을 잡아서 오하이오에 계시는 박찬응 교수님을 모시고 한 번 했습니다.

자막. Today’s concert will feature gayageum and geomungo. The delicate sounds of gayageum and the robust sounds of geomungo harmonize together to make beautiful sounds. With that concept in mind, we invited Professor Chan-eung Park as a part of this concert.

뭔가 새로운 것을 좀 해보자. 예를 들어서, ‘거문고하고 가야금하고 이렇게 해서 한 번 해볼까?’ ‘노래를 이렇게 해서 주거니 받거니 해볼까?’ LA가 한국의 문화를 그리워하고, 더 호기심을 갖고 그러시는 분들이 많은 것 같아요. 그래서 그런 분들을 또 만나는 게 저는 굉장히 즐겁고 좋습니다.

자막. We were thinking about doing something new. Like, “Should we put geomungo and gayageum together?” or “Should we sing back and forth?” I feel like there are a lot of people who are nostalgic and curious about Korean culture. And to me, it’s really fun to meet them.
